February 2008

Live webcasting from Boston (Tastoria) to Berlin (Sony), video edits for the Haulfryn Group, Burton McCall and Blumberg(that's not a spelling mistake), event planning for Siemens, conference capture for IQPC and video production for the Own Label Awards. Our busiest month ever!

January 2008

A hectic end to the year and a busy start to 2008. We're looking forward to working with Sony Europe, Canonical, OBMH NHS trust just to name a few for January. We're also in production with Lansons for a webcast with Share Centre.

October 2007

We continue building our relationship with ORACLE and this month we captured an important event from London’s Café Royal. The event will be delivered in an on demand webcast using Stream 57 technology. Also this month our first webcast that can be viewed on a Linux platform – pretty important when the client is Canonical the commercial sponsor of Ubuntu. This live event was a great success and it’s a first for us – viewed live, simultaneously on every continent. Finally, amongst this very busy month we webcast live from Soho Theatre with Results International and another live webcast for Virtual Wine, in partnership with SA Wines on Line.

September 2007

We were awarded a major contract with Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust which blends a number of our skills. The innovative project will see the delivery of live, on line supervision, coupled with on demand training a live webcasts We have strengthened our technology platform by partnering with Stream 57.

August 2007

As usual, August was relatively quiet although we have started a programme of studio recordings for distance learning project with E-consultancy. We’ll be producing 12 further presentations over next 6 months. The programme was started a year ago and is now proving to be a big success as early adopters get used to the idea of Pay-per-view training content over the web.

Great excitement as we shot in the library at 10 Downing Street this month. The client was Horsesmouth and we were recording Video Pearls of wisdom from the great and good. It was wonderful to go in through that front door!

Low Carbon World used In Situ to capture their first low carbon world conference in April, we’re pleased to say that the event was a success and plans are now afoot to save further carbon footprints by broadcasting monthly webinars. This will enable delegates to maintain contact without the need to travel. April was a busy month again, with trips to Dubai for British Publishers, Boston for Tastoria and continuing webcast production for Haymarket and Information Age

In Situ will be continuing its series with SC Magazine during March, if you are interested in registering for the next event – ‘The cost of a data breach’, visit www.scmagazine.com/uk/events. Also coming up in March are webinars for Management Today and Information Age. As we mentioned in January this could well be the year that webinars really break through in the UK. In the early part of March In Situ will be working with The Institute of Direct Marketing to capture one of their events in central London, we’re editing video for Kumula and Pfizer and we were the production company behind Wine Relief’s interactive wine tasting in support of red nose day.

We are delighted to announce that we have started working with Haymarket, one of the UK's largest publishers. In Situ has already undertaken work with Haymarket Medical (for Pfizer) and will be doing its first live webinar with Secure Computing at the end of the month.

January 2007

2007 could well be the year that webcasting technology truly finds a place in the communications marketing mix. Hillary Clinton’s webcast “I’m in and I’m in to win” has now been viewed by hundreds of thousands of people and it shows how far video on the web has now come. At In Situ this month we’ve been working with a new client, Haymarket medical creating some video for Pfizer as well as producing new webinars in partnership with Business Link Kent.

A live webcast for the Virtual Wine Christmas Show from The Ivory in St. Katharine’s dock, Central London, a video edit for iPark London, another trip overseas for a webcast with British Publishers, this time to Helsinki (brrr!) and of course the usual round of Christmas parties. Another busy month for the UK's specialist producer of webcasts and webinars.

November 2006

Following the production of a training webinar for IKEA employees in September, the podia library system has now been installed on Ikea’s servers. Ikea is one of the first big retailers to invest in webinars as part of its training – signalling that the benefits of webinars have finally been realised by large organisations. Our continuing work with British Publishers took In Situ to Warsaw with the e-strategies team. There we produced two webinars over two days which focussed on the topic of e-identity. In Situ produced the second in a series of webinars for Business Link Kent, sponsored by the Manufacturing Advisory Group (MAS), which gave an overview of how the MAS can help businesses be more efficient. Our continuing series with Information Age this month features Tony Collings of the Home Office who will be on the panel for Information Age Live, our groundbreaking interactive web broadcast.

October 2006

This month saw Kelly Holmes, the well known British athlete appear in a Business Link Kent webinar. Kelly spoke about the business opportunities offered up by the 2012 London Olympics and, in particular, how the Kent tourist industry can hope to benefit from the Games. Kelly’s appearance is part of In Situ’s ongoing commitment to produce exciting and visually stimulating webinars in partnership with Business Link Kent. The Quest Institute are involved in the training of Cognitive Hypnotherapy and NLP to aid people in freeing themselves from their physical limitations. This month saw the Quest Institute commission In Situ to produce a webinar to help complement their existing instructor led training of employees. As with all training webinars, there are numerous advantages including the standardisation of teaching, the ability to reach geographically disperse students and to easily check understanding with assessments over the web.

September 2006

This month saw IKEA, the well known international retailer, commission In Situ to produce an internal communications webinar that would explain to staff how a new commercial aspect to their already popular site will be introduced. The webinar will reside on the company intranet and will reinforce other activities to help staff on the shop floor understand what the experience will mean to Ikea’s customers. Additionally, the webinar will integrate a rolling transcript that will make it accessible to all of Ikea’s staff. The Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM), is Europe's leading professional development body for direct, data and digital marketing. In Situ created a webinar on search engine optimisation and a vismail campaign that was distributed among IDM members to drive prospects to the four minute preview webinar designed to drive members to purchase the SEO tutorial.

August 2006

e-consultancy.com provides information, training and events on best practice, online marketing and e-commerce and the company prides itself on its consultative approach to training but decided it wanted to supplement its training with web seminars, which led to In Situ producing two on demand webinars. The first was about digital marketing and the second was on search engine optimisation. The webinars were shot using existing trainers and had many advantages. First, they allowed the firm to reach its many foreign subscribers. Second, the webinars added functionality to the training experience, allowing subscribers to repeatedly view training sessions. And finally, the webinars opened up a new revenue stream for e-consultancy.com Information Age is a magazine covering technology, finance and strategy for senior IT decision-makers. This month Information Age Live! commissioned In Situ Productions to produce a live ‘radio show’ style webinar. Information Age editors will be joined by senior representatives from the user, supplier and analyst community. Infoconomy, the publisher, decided to push ahead with webinars because they offer an alternative source of revenue to advertising and because they offer added functionality to readers.

July 2006

Finspreads is a successful trading company based in the city of London. The company has been working with In Situ to create an on demand presentation that will help some of its more time pressed associates to find the time to trade. Finspreads will launch the campaign using Vismail technology and will follow up the on demand presentation with a live Q & A session. Infoconomy is the publisher of Information Age and has chosen In Situ as its partner for a bold webinar strategy, combining sponsored webinars on crucial IT topics, with its own approach likely to continue In Situ's strong tradition of pushing the boundaries with an emphasis on high production values above technology.

June 2006

Following on from our successes in Dubai last year, British Publishers chose In Situ Productions to produce two webinars held in Singapore to promote its eStrategies titles. Both webinars attracted leading figures from business and government with the 'mobility and communications' webinar including six participants and the 'eHealth' webinar including twelve. In Situ worked with a local crew to broadcast two webinars and then used podia technology to create a multi-chaptered presentation that allow the user to access specific speaker content or watch the event in full.

May 2006

The Information Exchange chose In Situ to help market its investment seminars that are led by Alpesh Patel. The campaign included a vismail which linked to a series of short webinars highlighting the content of the two day seminar. The results have been staggering. Nearly 30% of those that received the vismail clicked through to watch the webinars.

April 2006

This month In Situ was working with Sun Life Financial of Canada creating a video that would introduce seminars on "Treating Customer's Fairly". The video was created and scripted by the team in situ and will be combined with the CEO's seminar to create an induction webinar for new staff - maximising Sun Life Financial of Canada's return on Investment.

March 2006

Kent Business Link commissioned In Situ to create a series of on demand webinars that help their members understand how simple it is to take control of web optimisation. The "Search Engine Masterclass" is delivered by Jan Klin who is a distinguished expert in this field. The highly informative web seminars will be available to Kent Business Link members from April.

February 2006

Hyperion Solutions and In Situ Productions shot two web seminars this month featuring the legendary ex Gartner strategist Howard Dresner ­ "the father of Business Intelligence, if not the grandfather"! Dresner joined Hyperion last year as Chief Strategy Officer. The webinars will be available for viewing later in March.

January 2006

In Situ Productions has commissioned Epitype Design to create a new website for us that will be built by SEM Solutions. The new site will combine with other collateral to give support to our re-sellers and will launch at the end of March

November 2005

Early in the month Hyperion Solutions used a webcast to launch their new System 9 and we worked with them in the UK to get this webcast out on CD Rom along with many other pieces of information. Later on in November Hyperion sponsored a Business Intelligence event run by Infoconomy. In Situ was there to record it and make it available from the Hyperion UK website.

October 2005

Virtual Wine proved to be an outstanding success for In Situ and we were at The Wine Show to look for partners for our next wine event. Having demonstrated the possibilities of virtual events we looked for new ideas in the virtual arena. We were also pleased with the success of Million Dollar Home Page. In Situ was one of the first logos on the page so it was almost impossible not to find us! The first virtual wine tasting event took place on Sunday 16th October.

September 2005

After the success of virtual wine tasting earlier in the year, In Situ joined forces with Grape Juice and Gayda Wine to launch Virtual Wine Ltd. The company offers wine enthusiasts the chance to purchase good wines at excellent prices and then join a panel of experts in a studio to participate in tastings.
